About [BRAND]

A planting calendar that shows its working.

Last updated

Most planting advice online gives one date per zone and no source. Two gardens in the same zone can have frosts weeks apart, and planting rules differ between the people who write them. This site starts from your nearest weather station's frost record and applies university extension guidance to it, then tells you where each date came from.

Principles

  • Every date names its station, its rule and the publication the rule comes from.
  • When sources disagree we show each of them; we do not average them.
  • Where no source covers your climate, we say so instead of guessing.
  • Your ZIP code stays in your browser.

How it is funded

The site is free. If it carries advertising or affiliate links in future, they will be labelled, kept away from the tools, and explained on the affiliate disclosure page. They will never change a date or a rule.

Corrections

If a date or a rule looks wrong for your garden, or a source has changed, write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. The methodology page lists every source and how it is used.
